WHO ARE WE?
We come together as Intersections of Our Lives to address the interconnected issues of health, democracy, and economic justice. We do this by amplifying voices too often erased in mainstream policy debates, mobilizing voters, and advancing policies that address the key issues affecting our communities. Our approach centers the lived experiences of women and gender expansive people of color and recognizes the cumulative impact of multiple, intersecting forms of oppression in people’s lives.
As reproductive justice advocates, our work is anchored in the principle that we all have the right to control our bodies, our sexuality, our work, and our reproduction. We believe that reproductive justice will only be achieved when all people—of all immigration statuses—have the agency, resources, and economic, social, and political power to define and make decisions about our bodies, health, sexuality, families, and communities with dignity and self-determination.
Amid mounting attacks on bodily autonomy and democratic participation, Intersections of Our Lives is both a necessary intervention and a forward-looking force—a unified voice fighting back and imagining a better world for our communities.

National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice fights for equal access to reproductive health for Latine/a communities because all of us should have the power to make informed decisions about our bodies, families, and futures. We center and amplify Latine/a voices to transform the systems and narratives that influence our ability to reclaim our bodies and our lives. Our program areas include building an activist base, shaping policies, and shifting culture to fuel a larger reproductive justice movement for health, dignity, and justice.

In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda is a national-state partnership focused on amplifying the voices of Black women leaders in our fight to secure reproductive justice for all women, girls, and gender-expansive people. We work closely with our eight strategic partners—Black Women for Wellness, Black Women’s Health Imperative, New Voices for Reproductive Justice, SisterLove, Inc., SisterReach, SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW, The Afiya Center, and Women With A Vision—to collectively deliver proactive advocacy and policy solutions. Together, we address issues at the intersections of race, gender, class, sexual orientation, and gender identity, as shaped by the economic, political, and cultural contexts that define the lived experiences of Black women in the United States.
